30 rock

Last night's episode of 30 Rock featured a character who is considering moving from New York City to Cleveland. You can watch clips on NBC.com. They even set up a "Cleveland guide" on their site.

Liz: "What smells so good?"
Floyd (inhales): "Cleveland!"

Jack: "Where have you been?"
Liz (dreamy): "Cleveland!"
Jack: "For God's sakes, Lemon, we'd all like to flee to The Cleve, and club-hop down at the Flats and have lunch with Little Richard. But we fight those urges, because we have responsibilities. "

Floyd: "It was a crazy idea to begin with. We were on a vacation high..."
Liz: "Exactly! It's like a drug."
Floyd: "Right. If the whole world moved to their favorite vacation spots, then the whole world would live in Hawaii, and Italy, and Cleveland."
Liz: "Totally!"

Next week's episode is supposed to tie up Liz's relationship with Floyd, so I imagine there will be more shots of downtown.

Speaking of the big city next door, by the looks of the weather forecast, this Saturday would be perfect for my "Cleveland Day," but unfortunately I'll be spending literally all afternoon accompanying kids at a violin recital. I'm being paid well for it, but I'll be upset if this is the only sunny Saturday in 2007--unlikely, but I wouldn't put it past the Ohio Weather Gods™.
