It amazes me how we can ship items to Germany and Australia via U.S. Postal Service with no problems, yet packages to Canada are routinely delayed. "4-10 days"? Yeah right. I'd be better off putting it in a giant bottle and sailing it across Lake Erie.

I'll go you one better - I was talking to one of our students on the phone who is in Las Vegas for an internship, and she claimed that it took 7-10 days for mail to reach her from Ohio. I didn't think we used pony express anymore...
I once ordered a CD on half.com that was sent by the beloved "Media Mail" that USPS offers. When it didn't arrive in the projected time frame (14 days), I went to half.com to report it, but their page said "in rare cases, Media Mail can take 20 days," so it wouldn't let me submit the claim. I waited another 6 days, still no CD, and this time half.com let me report it.
The seller claimed he had shipped the CD, but went ahead and sent me a new one anyway, but had to wait for it from his distributor. All in all, it took a total of 2 months to get this CD. And then I didn't even really like it at first, so that just added lemon juice to the paper cut. But such is the case with most musical cast recordings (this one was The Last 5 Years, which I now enjoy).
