about this Christmas song
I'm hesitant to post this, for several reasons.
When I was playing through some Christmas music, an idea stuck in my head. I figured out this introduction on the piano but wasn't quite sure what to do with it. My instinct was to go into "I Saw Three Ships," but "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" wanted their say too.
I've sat down a couple times now and tried to figure out how to make this thing work, and tonight was the closest I've come so far. I felt the need to record it before I forgot it, so that is what we have here: a work-in-progress.
I said back in 2004 that I wanted to make a Christmas CD (using royalty-free tunes), but obviously that hasn't happened. Who knows; maybe that can be a project for 2009: The Year of the Hiatus.
This arrangement will surely be on there, but this is by no means the final version. Next time I might actually have copies of the hymns in front of me so I can remember where the hell these chords are going.
So with that in mind, I present... Some Unnamed Christmas Medley. With a tip of the hat to Lorie Line, Jim Brickman, and Mark Hayes.

I've played this several times now, and i really like the Three Ships part the best. Can't wait to hear the revised/final version.
